We are excited to invite you to our first Latin American STARS Webinar!

Join us on December 4th, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM (CET) to learn about work experiences based on salutogenesis applied in research and community work in Latin America.

During this webinar, the panelists Victoria Alister Flores (Chile), Diego Muñoz Asta-Buruaga (Chile), Carolina Palomo Rodríguez (Mexico) and Adriana Moreno Arias (Mexico) will discuss the following topics:

  • Personal factors and their association with sense of coherence in older adults. (Victoria Alister Flores)
  • Association of self-transcendence with biological, psychological and sociocultural characteristics in older adults. (Diego Muñoz Asta-Buruaga)
  • Permanent Training Program for Community Health Promoters in Sonora, Mexico (Carolina Palomo Rodríguez and Adriana Moreno Arias)

The panelists invite you to explore how salutogenesis shapes both research and community work in their regions. They will introduce two quantitative studies with a salutogenic perspective on older adults, a group often viewed mainly through a risk lens. By highlighting factors that support health in this population, the studies open up new possibilities for primary care and health promotion. In addition, the panelists will present a continuous training program designed to strengthen the capacities and influence of local community actors, contributing to environments that promote health and well-being.

Please, be aware that the webinar will be held in Spanish.
