The 7th International Conference on Salutogenesis will take place in Lodz, Poland from June 19th-20th, 2024, in conjunction with the 12th IUHPE European Health Conference on Health Promotion. The conference aims at advancing and disseminating the theory and research of Salutogenesis, offering a forum for discussion and sharing of pioneering approaches in salutogenic research, policy and practice. Join us in Lodz for these significant events as we collectively strive to advance the future of health promotion in Europe and beyond.

As part of the IUHPE World Conference, STARS offered a free interactive online pre-conference on Sunday, May 15th at 15:00-18:00 CEST. Topic: “Salutogenesis beyond health – towards coherent societies”
The pre-conference covered the following 5 themes:
- Interrelations between individual & collective sense of coherence in times of crises (Adi Mana, Shifra Sagy)
- Applying Salutogenesis to advance coherent societies (Claudia Meier Magistretti, Ruca Maas, Mathieu Roy)
- Genesis of Salutogenesis in the beginning of life (Bengt Lindström, Lenneke Vaandrager, Laura Bouwman)
- Expanding the model of health underlying the salutogenic theory (Georg Bauer, Shefaly Shorey)
- Salutogenesis guiding health promotion action (Marguerite Daniels, Eva Langeland, Luis Saboga-Nunes)

Following five successful International Research Seminars on Salutogenesis (Helsinki 2008 & 2009, Geneva 2010, Tröllhattan 2011 & 2012), the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE), its Global Working Group on Salutogenesis, the Society for Theory and Research on Salutogenesis (STARS), and the Center of Salutogenesis (CoS) of the University of Zurich (UZH) was pleased to invite to participate in the 6th International Conference on Salutogenesis, which was held on June 17th and 18th, 2021 in Girona. (From now on, we refer to the events as Conferences rather than Seminars). The conference was held in partnership with the 11th IUHPE European Conference on Health Promotion, taking place from 15 to 16 June 2021 in Girona.
