We are excited to announce that after the successful STARS webinar series in 2023 organized by the IUHPE Global Working Group on Salutogenesis, we offer you new webinars in 2024. The first webinar of the series takes place on Wednesday, 8th May (1 – 3 pm CEST) via Zoom.

100th anniversary of Aaron Antonovsky

Today, the founder of the concept of Salutogenesis would become 100 years old. Aaron Antonovsky was born on the 19th of December 1923, and raised in New York. He earned his PhD in sociology at Yale University in 1953. In 1960 he immigrated to Israel. During his time as Professor for Medical Sociology at Ben Gurion University, he developed the concept of Salutogenesis.

Online course on Salutogenesis: Health promotion and coping

Do you want to learn more about salutogenesis and health promotion? Sign up for an online course offered by the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. The course takes place in March 2024. Registration deadline is 1st February.
